Hi there! I'm Nikki. I'm known by many names, though.

I first created Black Cats Blue Moons to help others find comfort and solace in the different forms of art I create. Art and words have been with me since I was little, surrounding me and helping me learn to cope with the world. It’s what led me to study art and writing further at Wells College. I strive to do for others what the writers and artists I grew up with did for me: I want to help people of all ages feel connected in this world in a way that only the arts can provide.

Creating BCBM and starting to livestream opened me to an entire new world of creating that I didn't know was possible. What I once believed to be a hobby of loneliness and solitude opened up into a colorful community project. I've never had more fun than I've had collaborating with and working alongside so many other artists and writers who are just as passionate about their craft. What I once thought was an unattainable goal of creating a collaborative studio full of many friendly and talented artists became a reality.

Now, I work to make BCBM open to other artists with passions similar to mine so they can also share their worlds and their stories.

My specialization is soft, dreamy, warm art that comforts the viewer and writing that fully immerses the reader in the narrative. While my main art form is digital, I also like to spend time making paper or painting thrifted finds from local stores. If it's creative, I tend to get my hands into it just for the fun of it! I love trying new creative projects but find the most joy in working alongside friends.
